We are very fortunate to have a kitchen on site that cooks high-quality balanced meals for our children. The three-weekly menu changes in the autumn and spring terms to enable seasonal variations.
The cost per meal is £2.30, although children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals and so no charge is made for these children.
We use a system called “ParentPay” to enable parents to book and pay for school meals from home. Lunches can be booked every day or as and when required.
Children who opt to have a packed lunch, eat with the school dinner children in the school hall on mixed-year-group tables. We ask that lunch boxes should contain a healthy lunch and as we do have children in school who are allergic to nuts, we stress that we are a nut-free school and request that packed lunches should not contain any nut or chickpea products (this includes Nutella and hummus). Sesame and any sesame products are also not permitted due to current allergies. Drinks should not be fizzy.
